Police: Two Children Locked in Cars in Reading

Also, an elderly man was reported missing and equipment was stolen from a foreman in town.

In the latest police log from Tuesday, June 23, Reading Police reported two instances of children being locked in cars and an elderly man was reported missing, but later found.

Here are excerpts from the Tuesday, June 23 Reading Police log:

At 7:42 a.m., a foreman reported equipment was stolen from 55 Walkers Brook Drive.

At 9:31 a.m., police received a report of a suspicious person. The complaint alleged a tall male with red hair was talking to youths at 16 Edgemont Avenue and Barrows Schools.

At 9:37 a.m., police report a 3 year old was locked in a 2006 blue Honda at 76 Linden St.

At 10 a.m., police received a report that the tires on a 2006 green Mercury located at 27 Dana Road were slashed.

At 1:23 p.m., police report a child was locked in a 2006 grey Toyota at 16 Spring St.

At 3:44 p.m., a wire was down across the roadway in the area of Beech Street and Lakeview Avenue.

At 7:27 p.m., Reading Police reported an elderly man was missing. The man was later located.

At 8:07 p.m., a dog was reportedly left in a vehicle at 50 Walkers Brook Drive and Jordans Furniture.
