Reading Hosts Upcoming Free Hearing Screening

The Reading Public Health Department is coordinating the event in early December at the Reading Public Library.

READING, MA — Reading residents will have a chance to receive a free hearing screening early next month through a program planned at the Reading Public Library.

The screenings will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 5 at the library at 64 Middlesex Ave.

The town announced planned screenings on Tuesday. The Reading Public Health Department is coordinating the program with Beltone New England, which will provide the screenings.

Residents don’t need health insurance to receive a screening.

Beltone is a national company selling various hearing aid products. The chain has north-of-Boston brick-and-mortar locations in municipalities including Middleton, Saugus and Lexington.
