Reading Plans Beer Garden Event

READING, MA — The town of Reading will host a beer garden festival later this month at the Town Common, offering locally brewed beer alongside an array of food options in the second of three such beer gardens this summer.

The event is set for Aug. 20 to run from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Winter Hill Brewing Company from Somerville is providing the beer. The Half and Half restaurant and Pizza World in Reading will together offer barbecue food, pizza and more.

While gearing up for this beer garden, Reading is also planning its season finale beer garden attractions later this year. As such, the town is envisioning an Oktoberfest event on Oct. 15.

This month’s beer garden features music, games and more alongside beer and food. The event has sponsorship from the Friends of the Reading Recreation Division.
