Reading Police Department Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect
The search continues after the Tuesday evening robbery of the P&S Convenience store
READING— The Reading Police Department continues to investigate two bank robberies that occurred Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect.

Chief Mark D. Segalla reports that at approximately 8:10 p.m, Thursday night, the department responded to a call from JK’s Market at212 Main St., for a report of an armed robbery. They learned that a robber had brandished a black hunting knife, similar to a robbery on Tuesday evening, and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a male between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, a black mask, black gloves, gray sweatpants and black and gray sneakers.
The Reading Police Department is investigating to see if this incident was connected to the robbery at the P&S Convenience at 287 Lowell Street on Tuesday. The suspect had also fled after brandishing a black hunting knife and leaving with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect in that incident is described as a white male with a medium build, who is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and light colored footwear.
Police and the State Police K-9 Units conducted a search of both areas but were unable to catch the suspect.
