Reading, MA - In honor of Massachusetts State Trooper Thomas Clardy, the Reading Police will be wearing mourning bands on their badges.Trooper Clardy, 44, <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/worcester/state-trooper-airlifted-after-mass-pike-crash-serious-injuries-0">was killed in the line of duty while working on the Mass Pike in Charlton on Wednesday.</a>Clardy, who was also a US Marine Corps veteran, leaves behind a wife and six children.David Njuguna, 30, of Webster is being charged after striking Clardy's stationary vehicle. Njuguna suffered serious injuries and is at UMass Medical Center.
