Reading Police to Wear Mourning Bands in Honor of Trooper Clardy
Clardy was killed in an accident while on duty on the Mass Pike on Wednesday.

Reading, MA - In honor of Massachusetts State Trooper Thomas Clardy, the Reading Police will be wearing mourning bands on their badges.
Trooper Clardy, 44, was killed in the line of duty while working on the Mass Pike in Charlton on Wednesday.
Clardy, who was also a US Marine Corps veteran, leaves behind a wife and six children.

David Njuguna, 30, of Webster is being charged after striking Clardy's stationary vehicle. Njuguna suffered serious injuries and is at UMass Medical Center.
