Reading Resident Arrested on Charges of Assault and Battery, Vandalism

Arrests

On Sunday, Christopher I. Johnston, 26, of 5 Washington Street was arrested on charges of assault and battery and vandalizing property.

On Sunday, Carlos M. Monteiro, 29, of 11 Clarence St., Everett was arrested on Woburn Street on a warrant and charges of disturbing the peace and disorderly person.

Friday, June 14

  • At 7:37 a.m., a Federal Street resident reported that fireworks were shot at his vehicle.
  • At 10:29 a.m., a Lindsay Lane resident reported that his vehicle was hit while parked.
  • At 10:22 p.m., a Haverhill Street resident reported hearing a loud explosion in the area that may have been fireworks.
  • At 9:39 p.m., as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Washington Street, a Wilmington resident was summonsed on charges of operating with a suspended license.

Saturday, June 15

  • At 1:06 a.m., a caller reported a possible fight inside a home on Green Street. 

Sunday, June 16

  • At 12:23 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
