Resident Summonsed After Car Accident Friday Night in North Reading
The car crashed into a house and hit the gas line.

As the result of a car accident Friday night, a 51-year-old North Reading male was summonsed for operating under the influence and a marked lanes violation. According to , the driver crashed his car into a house and hit the gas line.
At 10:29 p.m. Friday night, an emergency caller reported that a car crashed into the home at 24 Washington Street. The car hit the gas line in the home, and National Grid responded to shut off the gas, police said.
The driver was operating a blue, 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 ST. The home on Washington Street, the blinking yellow light and traffic island at Elm and Orchard Streets were damaged due to the incident.

The driver, police said, was transported to the hospital, therefore was summonsed for operating under the influence and a marked lanes violation.
