Rockland Resident Arrested for Operating Under the Influence in Reading

The following is an excerpt from the  log from Friday through Sunday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

At 12:00 p.m. Friday, as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Washington Street, Andrew McCullock, 20, of 21 Sanborn Street was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

At 10:48 p.m. Saturday, as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Franklin Street, Richard Smith, 24, of 135 Grove Street, Rockland was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor, operating a motor vehicle with an expired inspection sticker and a marked lanes violation.

Friday, July 13

  • At 4:30 p.m., a Washington Street resident reported a male cowering in the corner of his back yard. The male told the caller that he was hiding from other people. The male asked for a ride to Wakefield and the caller dropped him off there.
  • At 6:41 p.m., as the result of a motor vehicle stop on General Way, a Wakefield man was summonsed for operating a vehicle with a revoked registration and operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.
  • At 8:01 p.m., a Charles Street resident reported that his house was broken into. 
  • At 11:56 p.m., a Locust Street resident reported that his vehicle's window was smashed.
  • At 11:58 p.m., a Woburn Street resident reported that she returned home and found her basement door open.

Saturday, July 14

  • At 11:41 a.m., a Summit Drive resident reported that the rear head seat was taken from his vehicle.
  • At 2:35 p.m., an employee from reported that two boys took a power drink and drank it in the bathroom. Police spoke to the boys' parents and the boys paid for the drink.
  • At 2:39 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Walkers Brook Drive. No injuries were reported.
  • At 4:32 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Haverhill Street. The injuries were unknown.
  • At 5:45 p.m., a caller reported that a car door struck her motor vehicle while parked on Main Street.
  • At 9:21 p.m., a County Road resident reported a group of youths setting off fireworks in the area. Police spoke to one youth who said he saw and heard the fireworks, but did not have anything to do with setting them off.
  • At 11:12 p.m., a caller reported a loud party on Linden Street. Police let the residents who were throwing the party know about the complaint and they agreed to move the party inside.

Sunday, July 15

  • At 7:37 p.m., a Gould Street resident reported DVD's and apartment keys taken from his motor vehicle.
  • At 8:52 p.m., a caller reported that her car mirror was broken off while parked on Arthur B. Lord Drive.
  • At 9:11 p.m., a caller reported fireworks on Temple Street. Police checked the area and found evidence of fireworks in the area, but no one was around.
