Semi-Pro Football Team Playing in North Reading
The Middlesex County Warlords are playing on the field at North Reading High School.
The Middlesex County Warlords, a semi-pro football team, will be playing their home games at . They will take on the New England Hawks this Saturday at 5 p.m.
According to President Victorio Figueroa, the team formed last year and used to play their home games in Woburn. They will now play at North Reading High.
The team is part of the New England Football League and "gives kids that NFL feel," Figueroa said.

The Head Coach Jack Coneeny has about 15 years experience and their Defensive Coordinator Rob Macintosh has written several books about football and defense.
The team currently has a 4-1 record. The ages of the team members range from 18 all the way to 51. Their 51-year-old player is a "phenomenal athlete," Figueroa said. They have collegiate players to seasoned 10-year football veterans.

The team plans to do some fundraisers in the future for the high school and some youth pop warner football camps to "raise money and give back."
"We're just trying to reintegrate ourselves into the North Reading community," Figueroa said.
The team is sponsored by the Tanner Tavern and South End Italian Club. Tickets are $5 per person, but if high school football players wear their football jersey they can get in for free.
