1. RPD Officers Honored for Assisting in Boston After Marathon. Reading Police Officers Mike Fitzgerald, Mike Lee and Matt Edson were honored at a Board of Selectmen meeting Tuesday night for assisting in Boston after the marathon bombings. Lee was unable to make it, but both Fitzgerald and Edson accepted their certificates with pride.
2. Bunratty Tavern Owner Hoping for August Opening. Back in January, Eilish Havey and her husband Jim were hoping to open the Bunratty Tavern this month. However, the process is not moving as quickly as they would like and thecouple is now planning for an August opening.

3. Reading Resident Arrested on Charges of Discharging a Firearm. According to Reading Police, Daniel Green, 28, of 5 Washington St. Apt. C9 was arrested Sunday on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, improper storage of a firearm, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and unlawful possession of class B and C substances.
4. Watertown Shootout Victim Lands in Driveway of RMHS Teacher. RMHS teacher Dr. Jeffrey Ryan lives at the corner of Laurel Street and Dexter Avenue in Watertown, a neighborhood that he considered safe until the evening of April 18.
