1. Town Looking to Impose Moratorium for Medical Marijuana Dispensaries. Last Fall, Town Meeting voted for a zoning bylaw that prohibited medical marijuana dispensaries in town. However, Attorney General Martha Coakley did not approve the bylaw given that it conflicts with state law. The selectmen are now in favor of imposing a temporary moratorium for dispensaries.
2.Boston Grade Sushi in Reading. Before 8 a.m. everyday, Jonathan Chen goes to several different fish markets in Boston searching for top quality and fresh fish for his three restaurants. Avana Sushi III, his third restaurant, opened about a month ago in Reading and serves Boston quality sushi in the suburbs.

3. Powerful Rockets Push Past Woburn in Second Half. Reading High School is ranked among the top boys lacrosse teams in the state. The Rockets showed why during the second half of Tuesday afternoon's game against visiting Woburn.
4. Finalists Chosen for New Barrows Principal. Reading Public Schools announced four finalists for the Alice M. Barrows Elementary School Principal Search. All four finalists will participate in an open mic night Tuesday, May 7 starting at 6:30 p.m. Parents and community members are invited to ask questions and get to know the finalists.

5. Resident Meets Woman He Saved After Marathon Bombings. Reading resident Shores Salter acted quickly after the marathon bombings and saved Roseann Sdoia's life. Salter was able to meet Sdoia Saturday at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, according to an article on wcvb.com.
