Traffic Advisory: Roadway Resurfacing in Reading

Here is the Spring 2015 road resurfacing schedule for June 24 and June 25 in Reading.

The Town of Reading announced a number of streets will undergo road resurfacing work during the week of June 22.

The town said on-street parking will not be allowed during construction and will be strictly enforced by the Reading Police Department. Road closures and detours should be expected.

For residents living on roadways affected by the road work, trash on trash collection day should be placed at the curb by 6:30 a.m. to ensure pick up.

The following streets will see road work today, June 24, and Thursday, June 25:

  • Longview Road - Install base layer of pavement (June 24 - 7 a.m.)
  • Laneton Way - Install base layer of pavement ( June 24)
  • Fremont Street - Install base layer of pavement (June 24)
  • Howard Street (Sigsbee to County) - Install final layer of pavement (June 24)
  • Continue Howard Street if necessary (Sigsbee to County) - Install final layer of pavement (June 25)
  • Pleasant Street (Parker Street to John Street) - Install final layer of pavement (June 25)
  • Pleasant Street (John Street to end by Manning Street) - Install final layer of pavement (June 25)
