Traffic Advisory: Upcoming Road Resurfacing in Reading

Here is the Spring 2015 road resurfacing schedule for the week of June 22 in Reading.

The Town of Reading announced a number of streets will undergo road resurfacing work during the week of June 22.

The town said on-street parking will not be allowed during construction and will be strictly enforced by the Reading Police Department. Road closures and detours should be expected.

For residents living on roadways affected by the road work, trash on trash collection day should be placed at the curb by 6:30 a.m. to ensure pick up.

The following streets will see road work during the week of June 22:

  • Crocus Lane - Install final layer of pavement (June 22 - 7 a.m.)
  • A Street (Westerly side) - Install final layer of pavement (June 22)
  • C Street - Install final layer of pavement (June 22)
  • D Street (Easterly side) - Install final layer of pavement (June 22)
  • E Street - Install final layer of pavement (June 22)
  • Heritage Drive - Install final layer of pavement (June 22)
  • Ivy Lane - Install final layer of pavement (June 22)
  • Pleasant Street (Parker Street to John Street) - Install final layer of pavement (June 22)
  • Libby Avenue - Install final layer of pavement (June 23 - 7 a.m.)
  • Pleasant Street (John Street to end by Manning Street) - Install final layer of pavement (June 23)

Residents will still have access to roadways while erosion control is installed and manhole covers are placed. However, during paving, access will be restricted and parking will not be allowed.
