The following is an excerpt from the Reading Police Department log from Friday through Sunday. The information is open to the public.
Arrests
At 12 a.m., a Washington Street resident reported hearing a gun shot. As a result of the call, at his home Sunday on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, improper storage of a firearm, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and unlawful possession of class B and C substances.

Friday, May 17
- At 8:51 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Lowell Street. The injuries were unknown.
- At 4:29 p.m., a resident walked into the police station to report a past larceny.
- At 9:56 p.m., a caller reported youths being loud and breaking bottles on Washington Street.

- At 11:10 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
- At 2 p.m., a caller reported youths climbing on top of the Killam School.
- At 9:08 p.m., a caller reported a block party on Pine Ridge Road.
- At 9:55 p.m., an Eaton Street resident reported youths yelling "help" while running through her backyard.
Sunday, May 19
- At 5:58 a.m., a caller reported that her car was hit while parked on Bay State Road.
- At 7:21 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. The injuries were unknown.
