CVS Opens Coronavirus Testing Sites In Salem, 11 Other MA Towns

SALEM, MA — CVS plans to open 12 additional drive-thru coronavirus testing sites on Friday as part of its plan to open 1,000 testing sites across the country.

Customers who meet federal testing guidelines can schedule an appointment and receive a test kit at the drive-thru window of the CVS store. A CVS employee will instruct patients on how to self-administer the swab test. Tests will be processed off-site at a third party lab.

The sites opening Friday will be located at the following CVS stores:

CVS opened its first drive-thru testing sites, including eight in Massachusetts, last week.

CVS has plans to open 1,000 drive-thru testing sites across the country, and hopes to eventually process 1.5 million tests per month. The new sites are in addition to the testing contracts CVS is managing in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Georgia, Michigan and Rhode Island.
