Massachusetts Donors Back Warren, Buttigieg
Joe Biden was the only other presidential candidate to top seven figures from Massachusetts backers, according to FEC data released Monday.

BOSTON, MA — While its no surprise that Sen. Elizabeth Warren has raised more money in Massachusetts than any other presidential candidate, the latest data from the Federal Elections Commission offers some surprises.
Candidates had until Friday to file year-end reports with the FEC, and the government agency began posting data this week. Through Dec. 31, the Massachusetts senator had raised $2.2 million for her campaign from Massachusetts contributors. But the rest of the list offered some surprises:
| Candidate | Contributions From MA Residents | Total Receipts |
| Elizabeth Warren | $2.21 million | $81.99 million |
| Pete Buttigieg | $1.91 million | $76.78 million |
| Joe Biden | $1.12 million | $61.04 million |
| Bernie Sanders | $810,988 | $109.09 million |
| Donald Trump | $655,384 | $211.31 million |
| Amy Klobuchar | $298,693 | $28.95 million |
| Andrew Yang | $157,312 | $31.73 million |
| Tom Steyer | $16,252 | $206.29 million |
| Michael Bloomberg | $0 | $200.36 million |
So far, the FEC has only released breakdowns of year-end data for leading candidates. So former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, who has raised a total $2.28 million for his campaign, is not included in the list of contributions form Massachusetts donors.

Pete Buttigieg, who was expected to make a strong showing in Monday's Iowa caucus, has been targeting former Barack Obama supporters in his fundraising efforts, according to OpenSecrets.org. But despite his success in raising money in the state, Buttigieg still trails Warren, Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden in polls of likely voters in the March 3 Massachusetts presidential primary.
