Moulton Endorses Biden In Presidential Race

The U.S. Rep and one-time presidential candidate from Salem said Biden has "the experience and judgment" to win in November.

Moulton's endorsement is a blow to Elizabeth Warren, the Senator from his own state who has been losing ground to Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders in recent polls.

SALEM, MA — Three-term U.S. Rep Seth Moulton formally endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden for president Monday. Moulton, who abandoned his own run for president in August, becomes the second former candidate in the 2020 race to back Biden, joining Rep. Tim Ryan of Ohio. Moulton, 41, also joins other high-profile veterans in endorsing Biden.

"There's no better preparation for the White House than the decades Joe Biden has spent serving the country, especially his eight years as vice president," Moulton said in a statement. "Most importantly: Joe can win. Joe Biden will beat Donald Trump and unify our country after four years of the most reckless commander-in-chief in American history."

Moulton's endorsement is a blow to Elizabeth Warren, the Senator from his own state who has been losing ground to Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders in recent polls. Moulton's endorsement comes one week before the Iowa caucuses.
