Obituary: Theresa (Beaulieu) Bedard, Mother of 10, Married 49 Years
Theresa (Beaulieu) Bedard of Salem was a mother to 10, grandmother to 26 and had five great-grandchildren.

Theresa (Beaulieu) Bedard, born in Salem to the late Louis and Diana (Blanchette) Beaulieu, passed away peacefully on Sept. 2, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Laurent J. Bedard, and sister of Louis J. Beaulieu Jr.
Theresa was a lifetime resident of Salem, graduating from St. Chretienne’s Academy, and later attended Salem Hospital School of Nursing. Theresa dedicated her life to her 10 children, 26 grandchildren as well as her five great-grandchildren. She loved music, theater, cooking, gardening, attending the Salem Philharmonic concerts, and above all, celebrating special occasions with her family.

Theresa and her husband Laurent spent 49 wonderful years together. Their engagement, which spanned Laurent’s four years of deployment during World War II, gave way to a marriage that was filled with caring for their family, building a home of their own, and even traveling the world together.
Theresa is survived by her children: Four daughters, Andrea J. Bedard of St. Petersburg, Fla., Janet Bedard Conlon of Beverly, Suzanne (Bedard) Brown and husband Peter of Groveland, Jacqueline (Bedard) Tarnowski and husband Robert of Salem, six sons, Laurent Bedard and wife Gail of Danvers, Paul Bedard and wife Marilyn of Ipswich, Peter Bedard and wife Carol of Gloucester, Christopher Bedard and wife Annmarie of Danvers, Thomas Bedard and wife Jodi of Atkinson, N.H. and Jonathan Bedard and wife Charlene of Salem.

Theresa is also survived by her 26 grandchildren: Erin, William, Sean Patrick, Lauren, Jessica, Matthew, Sean Paul, Alyse, Nathaniel, Tyler, Meaghan, Zachary, Amanda, Justin, Diana, Christopher, Danielle, Ashley, Olivia, Benjamin, Andrew, Timothy, Kaitlyn, Emma, Alexa, Brianna and her five great-grandchildren Isabella, Hadleigh, Emily, Evelyn, and Zahra.
Visiting hours will be held at Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., Salem on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. Private funeral services will be for the family.
