Police Looking for Man Who Carjacked 90-Year-Old at Saugus Stop & Shop

Police are looking for a man who carjacked a 90-year-old man at the Saugus Stop & Shop on Main Street, just off Route 1, on Tuesday morning.

Saugus Police responded to the scene at about 8:10 a.m. and found the victim, who had been grocery shopping, bleeding on the sidewalk, according to a department release.

The suspect was described as a white male, about 5-foot-7 with dark hair, wearing long pants. The suspect stole the victim’s brown 2001 Ford Focus – its Massachusetts license plate number is 868NHV, police said.

The victim declined hospitalization but was taken to a relative’s house by police.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage and will release any usable footage.
