Salem Man Hospitalized After 4-Hour Mountain Rescue
A Salem man was injured while hiking down New Hampshire's Mount Monadnock on Saturday evening.

A Salem man was rescued from the world’s most climbed mountain in New Hampshire on Saturday night after falling during a hike down.
New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officers, state Mountain Patrol Rangers and Jaffrey firefighters and volunteers rescued Scott Murciak, 34, from Mount Monadnock after a 9 p.m. call for help, according to a report by the Associated Press posted to the Concord Monitor website. Murciak fell and was “having serious medical issues,” the AP reported.
