U.S. Post Offices and mail delivery: The post office on Canal Street in Salem is closed. There is no mail delivery.

Trash pickup: No trash pickup, pickup is delayed by one day all week.

Banks: Most banks are closed - including Bank of America, People’s United Bank and Salem Five.

MBTA: Commuter rail and buses will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Schools: All schools closed. Salem public schools open for the year on Wednesday, except Friday is the first day for kindergarten.

Supermarkets, convenience store, pharmacies, restaurants and other retail businesses: Many local businesses are open regular hours, but it is always good to call ahead.

Liquor Stores: Allowed to be open, by law. Call ahead.
