Minor Snow Accumulations Expected on Thursday
Boston is only 2 inches from the record of snowiest winter on record.

The latest storm expected to clip Massachusetts will bring as much as 6 inches of snow on Cape Cod and the Islands, but most of Eastern and Central Massachusetts won’t get more than a inch or two -- if that.
The latest snowfall is expected to start on Wednesday night as rain turns over to snow when temperatures drop. Most of Eastern and Central Massachusetts may see sporadic snow on Thursday.
The NWS is predicting:

- 4-6 inches of snow on Cape Cod and the Islands
- 3-4 inches in Southeastern Massachusetts.
- 2-3 inches on the South Shore.
- 1-2 inches in Metro Boston, MetroWest, the Worcester area and the North Shore.
- No snow to a coating north of Route 128.
After Tuesday night’s storm, Boston is only 2 inches away from the record of snowiest winter on record. Boston will likely not get the 2 inches needed for the record from the next storm.
