Tire Thieves Strike Sharon Train Station

If you have any information about the suspects, you are asked to call the Sharon Police Department tip line.

SHARON, MA — Tire thieves have struck the Sharon Commuter Rail station, police said.

On June 12, tires were taken from two parked cars on the inbound side of the commuter rail lot. Police say they are working with surrounding agencies to gather any related information.

Upset commuters are now calling on more security measures. Sandra Tan told WCVB that cameras should be installed and officers should check the lots more often.

Commuter Rail tire theft has become more common. Similar crimes were reported in nearby train station parking lots in Mansfield and Walpole.

If you see vehicles in the parking lot that appear to be suspicious, you are asked to call 911 immediately.
