10 Boston Hot Spots for Crime

These 10 Boston areas, including one in the South End, have been identified for intense Boston Police enforcement, quality of life and services focus.

Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, along with Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis, school and city personnel, announced strategies to have a safe summer in the city.

Boston Police also identified 10 hot spots for intense enforcement, quality of life and services focus:

  1. Grove Hall in Roxbury
  2. Upham’s Corner in Dorchester
  3. Warren Gardens housing in Roxbury
  4. Blue Hill Avenue and Quincy Street, Dorchester
  5. Bicknell Street area, Dorchester
  6. Woodrow Avenue in Dorchester
  7. Franklin Hill/Franklin Field in Dorchester
  8. Bowdoin Street and Geneva Avenue, Dorchester
  9. Lenox housing, South End
  10. Heath housing, Mission Hill
