BPD Commissioner Ed Davis to Resign Monday

Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis will announce his resignation in a press conference on Monday morning, according to MyFoxBoston.com

Boston Police Department Bureau Chief Cheryl Fiandaca told FOX 25 that Commissioner Davis has already handed his resignation to Mayor Tom Menino.

Davis was sworn in as commissioner on December 4, 2006 after he worked in Lowell as the police superintendent.

In a press release, the Boston Police Department said that Davis will hold a conference discussing his future plans at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
