Five Things: Darryl's Named Top Late-Night Spot

Over 10 million diners voted in OpenTable survey.

1. The rainy week continues today with clouds and scattered showers. Highs in the mid 60s and northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

2. Diners voted one of the top spots in the country to enjoy a late night meal. The corner spot was the only New England restaurant to make this month's OpenTable Diners’ Choice List for Best Late Night Finds. The list is generated from diner feedback forms. Darryl's is open until 2 a.m., Thursday through Saturday.

3. The Boston Public Library has 200 copies of The Hunger Games, and there are 307 holds on it. That's the stuff you learn scanning their Top 10 Fiction Books for August.

4. Stop & Shop customers can support a local school of their choice by signing up for A+ School Rewards. Here's how it works: Visit a local Stop & Shop or click here and designate a school you would like to support. Then, use your Stop & Shop card between October 7 and March 29 to amass points for your school. Stop & Shop will distribute $2.5 million to participating schools at the end of the school year, based on the points earned.

5. Next time you're looking for local produce, turn to the T. A new partnership between the Department of Agricultural Resources and the MBTA includes about 500 posters on the red and orange lines that are embedded with quick response (QR) code technology - where commuters can scan the image with their smart phones and be directed to the state's database of farmers markets.
