Five Things: Join the Ellis Neighborhood Association in the Pride Parade

The neighborhood group will be marching in the 41st annual Boston Pride event.

1. Hot weather has arrived! Today's forecast calls for highs in the lower 90s (no, that is not a typo), sunny skies and everyone's favorite: humidity. 

2. Want to be a part of the 41st annual Pride Parade? The Ellis Neighborhood Association is inviting neighbors to join them in Saturday's march. Participants will partake in a outdoor brunch, receive festive beads, buttons and flags and atttend a post-parade party. 3. June is Adopt-a-cat-month at the . To honor our feline friends, the League is discounting the adoption fee for all adult cats over 1 year of age to $50.

4. Summer weather is finally here and the Boston Common Frog Pond Carousel is open. Stop by the carousel during summer hours: 11am-6pm, Sunday through Thursday and 11am-8pm, Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $3 each and children must be accompanied by an adult. Click here for more information.

5. Three South End non-profits are in the running for a $5,000 prize furnished by American Express. , and are all competing. Vote as many times as you want by clicking here. Note: you must be logged into facebook and have "Boston" listed as your current city to vote. Voting ends at 9am on Friday.
