Five Things You Need to Know Today, Feb. 4
Sunny skies, weekend activities and Super Bowl Sunday.

Today is Friday, February 4. Here are five things you need to know:
1. Finally! Sunny skies are predicted to last most of the day, with temperatures in the low 30s. Steady breezes with gusts of up to 25 mph are predicted. Enjoy it while it lasts because Saturday’s forecast includes…snow…and rain.
2. Politics and art – those were the topics at last week’s candidates' forum hosted by the Piano Craft Guild for the District 7 City Council election. See what the six candidates had to say at 9 a.m this morning right here on Patch.

3. Eight holes of sledding. This weekend, the city will be opening its municipal golf courses from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. for families to cross-country ski, sled and snowshoe. Dunkin' Donuts will be donated refreshments at the George Wright Golf Course and free parking is available. Click here for locations and details.
4. Snow Festival. The Franklin Park Coalition is also hosting a day of winter fun: on Saturday from 1 - 4 p.m. head to Franklin Park for outdoor activities like snowshoeing, cross country skiing, sledding and Frisbee golf. You can also track animal prints with a naturalist, build a snowman or enjoy board games and hot chocolate inside. Cross country skiers are invited to meet for a tour of the park at 1:30 p.m. and all ages are welcome. For more information and to RSVP call (617) 442-4141 or go to www.franklinparkcoalition.org.
