Food Writer Chris Kimball To Speak At South End Library

Tonight's event marks the end of the first season of the South End Writes author series.

South End resident and culinary-publishing star Christopher Kimball will speak tonight at the as the South End Writes author series closes its first season.

Kimball will speak about his personal essays published in Cook’s Illustrated as well as his recent book, Fannie’s Last Supper, which tells the story of Kimball’s recreation of a 12-course Christmas dinner served by culinary legend Fannie Farmer in the 19th Century. Kimball prepared the entire meal on a wood-burning stove in his South End home, which, coincidentally, is located near Farmer’s former residence.

Kimball’s talk will begin at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the , and refreshments will be served. Arrive early to guarantee seating.
