Free Stuff in Boston Today

Thanks to the Highland Foundation's "Free Fun Fridays" program in Boston, you and the family can go to Franklin Park Zoo, the Boston Children's Museum, and the Arnold Arboretum today for free! Click on each one for more details. 

Fatal Shooting Nearby

In case you missed it yesterday, we reported on a fatal shooting on Tremont Street.  While not technically in the South End, the shooting happened near Ruggles Station. At about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, officers from district D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a Person Shot in the area of 1053 Tremont Street, Roxbury. An adult male victim was taken to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. Read more here

Berklee Concert Series

Mass Boston’s WUMB 91.9 FM, and Berklee College of Music have teamed up to present WUMB and Berklee Concerts at Carson Beach on Saturday, bringing free live music to Dorchester Saturdays in August between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Saturday's concert feature Berklee students and alumni groups Joe's Truckstop.
