Menino Hosts Boston Bruins "Pep" Conference

Game Three of the Stanley Cup Finals starts tonight at 8 p.m.

Mayor Thomas Menino joined Boston Bruins President Cam Neely, TD Garden President John Wentzell, Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis, MBTA officials and Bruins mascot Blades on Monday afternoon to encourage fans to support the Boston Bruins as they challenge the Vancouver Canucks for the Stanley Cup.

Mayor Menino urged fans to act responsibly as the Bruins prepare to host their first home game of the series at the TD Garden and encouraged Bostonians to show their support by wearing black and gold on game days throughout the series.

“Boston is the best sports town in America and it’s great to finally be able to welcome the Stanley Cup Finals to Boston and cheer on our Bruins,” Menino said. “It’s important that these games are a safe and fun experience for everyone, everywhere.”
