Police: Man Fought with Cops at Woods Mullen Shelter
In an attempt to break up an argument between two men, a police officer was punched several times.

A Boston man was charged with brawling with police officers on July 8.
Boston Police were working a paid detail near 794 Massachusetts Avenue near the Woods-Mullen Shelter.

At about 9:35 p.m., a worker from the shelter told police that two men were arguing which was heating up towards violence.
The shelter supervisor told police that one of the men started the argument and tried to get the other man to fight him.

The officer took the suspect outside the building and attempted to escort him off the premises. According to the report, the suspect threw several punches, connecting with the officer’s shoulder and chest. The suspect then grabbed the officer’s radio remote earpiece and ripped it in two.
The officer called for backup and the police detained the suspect. Officers charged Victor Manuel Henrriquez-Ayala of 794 Mass. Ave. and charged him with assault and battery on a police officer and destruction of property.
