Police Seeking Man Who Spat on MBTA Passenger

The incident reportedly occurred on an outbound Green Line E trolley.

MBTA Transit Police are seeking a suspect who allegedly spat on an MBTA passenger.

The incident, which may have been motivated by the victim’s ethnicity and civil rights violations, occurred on Monday, April 6, at 11:30 a.m. The suspect reportedly spat on a female MBTA passenger on an outbound Green Line E trolley.

The suspect, seen in the photograph, exited the trolley at Northeastern University’s trolley stop.

The subject is described as follows:

  • White man
  • 5’6” - 5’8” in height
  • Appears to be 40 - 45 years of age
  • Medium build
  • Wearing blue sunglasses, cargo pants and a gray and black jacket

Those with information are being asked to call the Transit Police’s Criminal Investigations Unit at 617-222-1050. Anonymous tips could be sent via text to 873873 or through the MBTA See Say app.
