South End Sexual Assault Suspect Sought
Boston Police are asking for the public's help. Does this man sound familiar to you?
BOSTON, MA — Boston Police are seeking a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a woman near the South End's Carter Playground in the early hours of Monday morning.
According to police, a man on a blue BMX-style bicycle approached a woman walking near Greenwich Park and Claremont Street around 1 a.m. Police say the suspect told her he had a knife, and forced her to walk to the area of Carter Playground, where he sexually assaulted her.
He then left, heading toward Davenport Street in the direction of Tremont Street, according to police.

BPD provided the following description: "The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, late 20's to mid 30's, medium complexion 5’-6” to 5’-7” tall, medium build, brown short cropped hair, wearing a button down shirt with ¾ length sleeves and possibly a vest, tattoo's on his right arm and the back of his right hand."
The police department is investigating the incident, and strongly urged anyone with information to call the Boston Police Sexual Unit at (617) 343-4400. Anonymous tipsters can call the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1(800) 494-TIPS or text the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
