UPDATE: Woman Killed After Being Hit by Car in Boston's South End
One elderly woman was killed and another was injured in a collision at West Brookline and Tremont Streets on Wednesday.

One elderly woman was killed and a second was injured Wednesday after they were struck by an SUV in Boston’s South End section.
Both victims were rushed to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries around 3:30 p.m., where one was later pronounced dead.

The driver hit the victims in a crosswalk at the busy intersection of West Brookline and Tremont Streets, police said. According to reports from the scene, one victim was tossed through the air after being hit by the SUV.
No charges have been filed against the driver at this time, police said. The incident is under investigation.
