Dedication of new Stoneham High School and Early Learning Center September 27

Dedication will include speakers, tours of the campus and refreshments

Stoneham’s School Building Committee (SSBC) Co-Chairs Marie Christie and David Bois are excited to announce the official Dedication of the new Stoneham High School and Early Learning Center campus on Saturday, September 27. The journey began in 2019 with the approval of the Massachusetts School Building Authority to move Stoneham onto the schedule for a new building, and reached the first milestone with the opening of the building for students and staff in late August, 2024.
Over the last year, final detailing of the building, demolition of the old building and the creation of a beautiful new Spartan Stadium, softball, baseball, soccer and field hockey fields and very soon new tennis and pickleball courts complete the campus.
“We are so proud of the buildings and grounds that resulted from our six years of commitment, planning and decision making,” said SSBC Co-Chair David Bois. “And, we are grateful to the community members, students, teachers and staff who participated in visioning sessions, and the residents, municipal Department Heads and Boards who provided overwhelming support and cooperation from day one.”
Everyone is invited to join the Committee at the ceremony, which will begin at 10 am on Saturday, September 27, in the High School Auditorium. The ceremony will include guest speakers, the unveiling of dedication plaques in both the High School and the Early Learning Center, followed by refreshments in Spartan Café and tours of the building.
The SSBC is grateful for the hard work of our project team – OPM SMMA, Project Designer Perkins+Will, and Construction Manager Consigli Construction, which brought our vision to life.
