Five things about Stoneham you need to know to start off your weekend.

Five things to know today, Friday, March 22, 2013:

1. Sunny days sweeping the clouds away. Today will be partly sunny with a high near 41, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, mostly cloudy then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 27. West wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

2. Beer tasting. Redstone Liquors holds beer tasting events every Friday. Today from 5-7 p.m., sample Baxter Brewing.

3. Hike ’n’ Carry in the Fells' Lawrence Woods. This weekend, help clean up the Middlesex Fells. Meet Friends of the Fells hike leader Linda Schwetz for an all-ages hike and trail cleanup in the Lawrence Woods area. Bags, gloves, and verification of two community service hours will be provided. Meet at 2 p.m. sharp at Victory Park, on Route 38 in Medford. Rain cancels. Call Linda at 617-803-3173 for more information.

4. Storytime at the library. The Stoneham Public Library will hold a StoryTime Program today for kids 3 and 1/2 and up at 10:30 a.m. Children are able to enjoy a few good stories and simple crafts in the activity room without an adult.

5. Bingo this weekend. The Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham has Bingo every Saturday and Sunday at 6:30 p.m., which has partially funded the Club's annual budget for over 30 years. Two progressive games on Saturdays with a $3,000 jackpot and two progressive games on Sundays at $1,199. Both games at $100 and up with $200 in door prizes.
