Friends of Stoneham to Meet at Library Thursday Night

Here are five things to know for Thursday, July 25 in Stoneham:

1. Friends of Stoneham session: The Friends of Stoneham, a group opposed to the proposed housing development at Weiss Farm, is expected to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Marcy Room at Stoneham Public Library, according to an event posting on Stoneham Patch.

2. In case you missed it: The last Boston Marathon bombing victim from Stoneham left a Charlestown hospital on Wednesday.

3. Police log: Multiple vandalism calls and a shoplifting are some of the items found in the latest Stoneham police log.

4. Is wet weather afoot? Thursday is expected to be mostly cloudy, with temperatures hitting a high of 74 and an overnight low of 60, according to the National Weather Service's forecast for Stoneham. There is a 40 percent chance of rain during the day, and a 70 percent chance of rain in the evening, the forecast adds.

5. Meetings: The Stoneham School Committee meets at 7 p.m. Thursday in the library at Stoneham High School, while the Stoneham Board of Appeals's session is slated for 7 p.m. in the Town Hall Hearing Room, according to the town website.
