Letter-To-The-Editor: 'Opposition to voter I.D laws is a primary contributor why the Democratic party is sinking"

A letter to the editor from a Winchester resident on Democrat opposition to voter I.D. reforms.

Dear Editor:

Another way for Democrats to continue losing elections--keep doing what they're doing.

The only reason for voter I.D laws is to ensure that only citizens vote. Period. Anyone who believes otherwise, also believes that it is O.K. that non-citizens vote. This is a moon bat, one-world, kumbaya position equivalent to full citizenship for everyone in the world who wants to come here. It is de-facto open borders. No borders means no country.

Opposition to voter I.D laws is a primary contributor why the Democratic party is sinking (sunk?), below the waves in state and national elections. Under President Obama’s eight years, moon bat opposition to voter I.D laws assisted mightily to the irreversible Democrat losses of over 900 state legislature seats, 12 governor ships, 69 House seats and 13 Senate seats.

Although it is not in my political self-interest to offer advice to the author of last week’s nonsense about how awful voter I.D. laws are, nonetheless as a conservative, I am a very strong advocate of the two-party system. If the progressive wing of the Democrat Party persists in its foolish opposition to voter I.D. laws, there won’t be any Democrats left to blame and that’s not a good thing.

So, if Lisa Sullivan Ballew wants to administer CPR to the Democrat Party before it’s too late, she ought to try silence on the subject. She also should not be taking on a champion of voter I.D. laws like Caroline Colorusso.
