Man Dies After Being Hit By A Car In Stoneham
An accident on Saturday night led to a fatality, says the D.A.

The following press release was sent to Patch by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office:
WOBURN - Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced that Jason Nightlinger, 32, of Acushnet, has died after being struck by a vehicle in Stoneham last night.
“The investigation into the circumstances of this incident is ongoing,” said District Attorney Ryan. “What is known is that Jason Nightlinger was struck by a vehicle outside of 177-179 Franklin Street, police were called, the driver remained at the scene, and that Jason died of his injuries later at the hospital.”

“On behalf of the entire Stoneham community, my heart and prayers go out to the victim’s family following his tragic death overnight,” said Stoneham Police Chief James McIntyre.
The Stoneham Police Department received a call at approximately 8:30 p.m., Saturday, May 9, that an individual had been struck by a vehicle outside an apartment building. The injured man was transported to the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

This incident is being investigated by the Stoneham Police Department.
