Police: High Speed Chase Started in Stoneham, Ended in Gunfire

A 100 miles per hour car chase started in Stoneham and ended in gunfire in Saugus at about 2 a.m. on Monday according to the Boston Globe.

According to a report from NECN, the Essex County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that a man and a woman were shot. Both were taken to a Boston area hospital, where they were treated for non-life threatening wounds.

NECN also reported that the car was wanted out of Stoneham, and the shooting began on Route 1.
