State Police Investigating Suspicious Hole Found in Fells

State Police are investigating a suspicious hole found at the Middlesex Fells Reservation Thursday afternoon.

As of 3:50 p.m., authorities have not confirmed that a body has been found in the woods located off Route 28 north roughly a mile from intersection near Friendly's.

State Police officers have been exiting and entering the woods through a fire gate off Route 28. The gate is taped off, and a handful of State Police vehicles and media are off the side of the road nearest the gate.

One investigator was seen entering the woods with a large handheld device.
