BOSTON, MA — October 31, 2025 (Halloween, of all days) — Stephen Ternullo, candidate for State Representative in the 31st Middlesex District (Stoneham and Winchester), joined current State Representatives, State Senators, and candidates for Governor at the Massachusetts State House to rally for freedom and call for the repeal of Chapter 135.

The event, organized by the Civil Rights Coalition, drew hundreds of concerned citizens and advocates for public safety and constitutional rights.

“I want to thank the Civil Rights Coalition for allowing me to speak today,” said Ternullo. “It was an honor to stand proudly at the Massachusetts State House alongside so many leaders committed to one clear message: Repeal Chapter 135.”

Ternullo strongly condemned Chapter 135 — legislation sponsored by Rep. Michael Day — calling it “one of the most overreaching and dangerous laws ever passed in our Commonwealth.”

“Chapter 135 targets law-abiding citizens while doing nothing to stop violent crime,” Ternullo said. “It makes it harder for responsible people to protect themselves and their families — while the real criminals walk free. This is what failed leadership looks like: laws that punish the good instead of stopping the bad.”

Ternullo noted the irony of the hearing taking place on Halloween.

“On a day known for masks and tricks, it’s fitting that Beacon Hill tried to disguise a bad law as progress,” he said. “But the people of Massachusetts aren’t fooled — we know the difference between safety and political theater.”

Ternullo emphasized that Massachusetts needs leaders who prioritize both safety and freedom.
“Massachusetts deserves better,” he said. “We deserve laws that protect our freedoms and make our communities safer — not ones that trample on our constitutional rights.”

As a candidate for State Representative, Ternullo pledged to stand with the people, not the establishment.
“I’ll always stand with the people — not the politicians,” said Ternullo. “Together, we’ll send a message to Beacon Hill: Enough is enough. Freedom, safety, and accountability matter.”
