For Stoneham Baseball, No. 20 Seed Means They've Got A Shot
Spartans will face Charlestown in Thursday's preliminary round.
STONEHAM, Ma. - Forget their record. In the postseason, everybody starts 0-0.
The Stoneham baseball team earned the No. 20 seed in the 21-team Division 3 North pairings. The MIAA released the baseball pairings Tuesday.
The Spartans went 7-13 this spring competing in the Middlesex League but enter tournament play thanks to their above .500 mark against Division 3 opponents. That means a first round game against Charlestown at East Boston Memorial Field on Thursday at 4 p.m. The winner faces Bishop Fenwick in the first round.
