Stoneham To Face Hamilton-Wenham In North Final

The 2018 Division 6 North football title game will be a rematch of 2017 after Hamilton-Wenham beat Northeast Regional, 28-20, in the semifinals Saturday.

H-W (7-2) will travel to Stoneham (9-0) Friday at 6:30. Last year Stoneham beat the Generals, 20-18.

Hamilton-Wenham was ahead of Northeast, 21-20, in the fourth quarter when Generals' quarterback Billy Whelan threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Sam Webber to make it 28-20 with 5:08 left. Northeast challenged in the remaining minutes but turned the ball over on downs in the last minute.

Stoneham advanced to the final by beating Bishop Fenwick Thursday.
