STONEHAM, MA — Stoneham officials are currently "deliberating" on language for a potential regulation mandating the use of masks or face coverings in businesses and public spaces, the Board of Health said.
Such a regulation is not intended to be punitive, but rather serve as a benchmark for conduct among residents while the pandemic continues, according to the town. Residents will be notified via Reverse911 and CodeRed upon approval of such a regulation.
As of April 28, there have been 232 cases of the coronavirus in Stoneham, 68 of which are active.
