Stoneham Road Work Could Take Up To 2 Weeks

Paving on Pond and South Streets is scheduled to start Monday.

STONEHAM, MA — The contractor working on the MWRA pipeline project in Stoneham will start paving South and Pond streets Monday, Nov. 18. Detours will be in place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the next 10-14 days, according to the Stoneham Police Department.

Eastbound traffic on South and Pond will be detoured around the work zone. Drivers should expect heavy delays in the area and on Franklin Street when students are arriving at Stoneham High School, police said.
