STONEHAM, MA — The town is looking for people to help plan its 300th birthday celebration.

The town wants seven residents or former residents to serve multi-year appointments on the Stoneham 300th Celebration Committee. At least one of the appointments is reserved for a military veteran.

The 300th celebration will take place in 2025, but Stoneham is getting a jump on it. Stoneham separated from Charlestown in 1725 — on Dec. 17, to be exact.
