When Does the Summer Concert Series Begin in Stoneham?

A reader recently asked us, "When are the concerts in the Common going to begin?"
On the first day local bands take to the Commons this summer, the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce will present scholarship awards to town residents.
The town's summer Concerts on the Common series brings local bands to the common every Thursday between June 27 and Aug. 8. The free concerts kick off at 7 p.m. and run until 9 p.m.

"The Chamber is proud to award four high school seniors with its Kathleen E. Bray and John F. Mahoney, Jr. scholarships for 2013. Recipients are Stoneham High School seniors Jared Macone, Amanda Columbus and Jourdan Tayler Powers, and Reading Memorial High School senior Jared Hackley," the Chamber said in a press statement published on Boston.com
At 7 p.m. on the series' June 27 kickoff, the Northeast Navy Band will perform musical selections celebrating the July 4 holiday.
