5 Things, April 23: Blood Drive for Boston Marathon; Firefighters Sworn in; School Committee Meets

1. Board of Selectmen Meeting

The Stoughton Board of Selectmen will meet Tuesday, April 23, starting in executive session and then reconvening in open session. 

The open session, held in the Great Hall (third floor of the Town Hall), is expected to start at 7:30 p.m.

The meeting includes a swearing-in ceremony for Stoughton Fire Department Lt. Jay McNamara and new firefighter/paramedics Jeremiah Fowler and Justin Goldberg

2. School Committee Meeting

The Stoughton School Committee meets in the TV studio at Stoughton High at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23.

3. Upcoming Blood Drive in Honor of Boston Marathon Victims and Heroes

In honor of the victims and first responder heroes of the Boston Marathon Bombings, the Stoughton YMCA is hosting a Children's Hospital Blood Drive on Thursday, April 25 from 1-6 p.m.

Please show your support as part of this community to those who need our help. The City of Boston desperately needs blood!

4. Save the Date: Stoughton High Football Gridiron Club Annual Golf Tournament 

The Stoughton High Football Gridiron Club will be holding its annual golf tournament Saturday, June 1 at the Cedar Hill Golf Course in Stoughton. The tournament starts at 8 a.m.
